The Growth org aims to help our customers realize the value of our products, helping them build a great search experience.

Some of our recent projects include : developing an OAuth2.0 based API allowing our partners to deeply integrate Algolia into their offeringslaunching a new service powering onboarding for various featurescreating an analytics and experimentation platformand much more.

Your role will consist of : Defining the overall technical direction and strategy for your teamMentoring and nurturing software engineers, helping them grow in their careerBeing responsible for technical decisions taken by the teamWorking alongside the engineers to design and implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability, performance and reliability of your team’s servicesImproving engineering quality, processes and toolingCollaborating with product managers and designers to help define the team roadmap (we follow a bottom-up approach)Interfacing with a wide range of teams to build and evangelize a solid growth foundationYou might be a fit if you : Have 2+ years of engineering management experience and 5+ years of engineering experienceAre an excellent communicator able to translate product requirements into technical tasks and vice-versaHave a mindset to take data driven decisions and analyzing impact of the changes you introduceAre experienced with frontend technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactAre experienced with a server-side scripting language (we use Ruby, however languages can be learned – your engineering proficiency is more important than any particular language)Are capable of jumping in the trenches with the engineerings coding, managing incidents, handling on-callAre able to identify and introduce relevant SLOs and SLAs within the teamAre fluent in Agile methodology and can lead a project from the idea to productionREMOTE STRATEGY : Algolia’s flexible workplace model is designed to empower all Algolians to fulfill our mission to power search and discovery with ease.
