Alexander Associates Looking for Principal/Associate Structural Engineer at Oxfordshire Full Time

We are working with a Medium-Sized multidisciplinary Consultancy that are looking to expand their Structural team, they are located conveniently in Didcot – Oxfordshire. They are looking for a Principal/Associate Structural Engineer to join the current team of ten Engineers and Technicians at the office, but are flexible with hybrid working. The team work on a variety of large and small projects in a range of sectors with other in-office teams to  deliver Structural and Civil Engineering, Traffic, Transport Engineering, Building Surveying and Geomatics. The Responsibilities include:

• Preparing structural designs in all conventional materials and experience in refurbishment projects.
• Taking a global view of structural design on a project, identifying potential problems and solutions and providing advice to client on design options
• Prepare technical details for Architectural design and prepare technical specifications
• Liaise and attend meetings with Shareholders
• Outline the brief, visit the site and review information including planning history and services.
• Leading project teams, supervising and training engineers and technicians
• Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects.
• Good written & spoken English

The candidates skills & experience should include;

• Minimum qualification – degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Chartered, or working towards Chartered status
• Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience in relevant structural design
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Good commercial awareness
