A versatile Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer needed by this medium sized Engineering Consultancy based in Wimbledon.

The company provide multi-disciplinary services to the Bridges, Commercial & Retail, Heritage, Infrastructure, Rail, Residential and Temporary Works sectors. You will be doing a varied mixture of structural and civil projects, mainly rail projects or rail related; therefore experience in the rail sector would be advantageous. You will need to be able to juggle lots of projects at once in a fast paced, work environment.

Types of work could include:

· Deep and shallow foundation design

· Retaining Wall Design

· Design of gantries, platform extensions, lift shafts, new stations and all associated structures

· Temporary works design

· Design of embankments

· Design of car parks

· Geotechnical investigations

· Salvage of historical elements

· Demolition strategies

· Culvert and pipe design

· Station refurbishments

· Drainage design

· Bridge design, buildings design, inspection and assessments

The majority of your experience should be in civil/infrastructure projects rather than purely buildings structures. You should also have excellent communication skills as this is a client facing role and will include report writing. You will be leading a small team as part of the role.
