We are looking for a competent Raw Material Buyer to purchase our production raw materials. Since our business activities cannot begin without the necessary stock, this role is vital. The timely availability of materials is an essential part of our success. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be a responsible individual with great attention to detail. As a raw material buyer, you will need to negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices. The goal is to ensure that the business maintains adequate stock that meets its requirements. Our company can deliver value to our customers through high-quality products and facilitate sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality, etc. and determine the best choices
• Discover and purchase new products working closely with our quality team to assure that the correct materials are purchased
• Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
• Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
• Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
• Create s on budgets, on-time delivery, and vendor satisfaction
• Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing
• Keep in touch with the supply team in Brazil and work together in order to find the best business opportunities

Skills

• High School diploma; BS/BA in business administration, economy, chemistry, engineering or relevant field will be considered a plus
• 1 to 5 years of experience in a purchasing role
• Proven experience as a raw material buyer or relevant role
• Outstanding communication abilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating
• Up to speed with purchasing best practices
• Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; purchasing software like SAP or similar ERP Systems
• Knowledge and understanding of MRP and WMS systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
