Description:
The Senior Analyst works closely with project leads from the Cancer SCN, Advanced Analytics, and multiple clinical leaders throughout the province. The Senior Analyst will synthesize data, evaluate metrics, and establish program and project dashboards, to monitor implementation and ongoing quality improvement. Using advanced expertise and skills in analysis, interpretation and knowledge translation, the incumbent will play an integral role on the cancer diagnosis pathway design teams. The Senior Analyst also provides advice, recommends and develops performance measures, interfaces and liaises with end-users of the data. The Senior Analyst will be knowledgeable of leading practices and data trends, which will contribute to the overall success of the Cancer SCN initiatives. You will be a key team member responsible for analysis, interpretation and reporting of pathway data. Through your excellent communication skills, you will provide technical, statistical, and epidemiological leadership and support in response to questions from project team members and internal and external stakeholders across the province. This position will have dual accountability to Advanced Analytics, Cancer Care Alberta and the Cancer SCN.

Additional Required Qualifications:
3-5 years experience analyzing AHS health data. 3-5 years experience analyzing health data. 3-5 years experience in epidemiological techniques. 3-5 years experience working within a healthcare organization. Minimum of 3 years experience analyzing large population-based datasets. 3-5 years experience using statistical software packages (specifically SAS and R). 2-3 years experience presenting technical information through Tableau dashboards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to various stakeholders. Strong English language communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics or Epidemiology (or equivalent).
