ALBERTA CAPITAL REGION WASTEWATER COMMISSION is Looking for Seasonal Utility Worker Full Time

Seasonal Utility Worker- 4 Month Term (May-August)

The Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Commission (ACRWC) is an ISO 14001 registered regional services commission providing wastewater transmission and treatment services to over 300,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding the City of Edmonton. The ACRWC owns and operates 200 km of wastewater transmission lines, 5 pumping stations, and a modern state of the art wastewater treatment plant. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, cost efficient and environmentally responsible wastewater transmission and treatment service. The ACRWC Treatment Facility is located near the North Saskatchewan River just north of Sherwood Park, AB.

General Grounds and Maintenance Responsibilities

• Grass Cutting- Riding mowers, push mowers, and grass trimming
• Painting as required throughout plant and pumpstations
• Plant site floor cleaning
• Vehicle cleaning
• Recycling material weekly
• Working with other maintenance department employees to complete certain tasks as required.

Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license. Candidates that are actively pursuing post-secondary education will be strongly considered. The successful candidate must be well organized and willing to work with wastewater. Previous experience working in the wastewater industry would be considered be an asset.

This position is a full time four-month seasonal position, Monday through Friday. We offer a competitive compensation package, including compressed work week, training and an attractive working environment. All work will be completed under supervision.
