A well-established and rapidly growing Real Estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their dynamic team. The firm is expanding its operations and looking to increase the team’s headcount to support this growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the production of fund financial statements and other required financial information including but not limited to investor-funded and unfunded commitments.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly Net Asset Value (NAV) packages and financial statements.
• Assists with audit requests and provide tax support.
• Prepares journal entries to record fund level accruals, fair market value, etc.
• Assist with preparation of joint venture (JV) waterfall calculations.
• Assist with preparation of fund fee calculations in accordance with the agreement.
• Prepare daily reconciliation of cash balances.
• Supports the daily activities of the treasury, cash management, and accounting function of the fund. Assists with posting journal entries and money-movement transactions. Ensures all fund transactions are properly posted to the accounting system.
• Ensures all fund transactions are properly posted to the accounting system.
• Prepares analyzes and reviews NAV calculations.
• Prepares investor client statements, capital calls, and distribution notices.
• Calculating returns/performance reporting models: NCREIF, GIPS, IRR
• Prepare monthly flux analysis
• Perform first-level review of 3rd party monthly property packages
• Recording and reviewing acquisition/disposition transactions – closing entries, closing statements, prorations etc.
• Participates in special projects including new fund set-up and fund closure.

• QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Prior experience in real estate property accounting preferred.
• Prior experience in fund-level accounting preferred with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems (Yardi).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
