Alamos Gold’s Island Gold is one of Canada’s highest grade and lowest cost gold mines. This underground operation is located just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa in Northern Ontario. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality, and Alamos is now investing in a major expansion project which is expected to transform Island into one of the largest and most profitable mines in Canada with an 18-year mine life. Primary Responsibilities:

Completes routine activities related to receiving, unpacking, checking, and storing parts and materials.

• Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all activities related to receiving parts and materials in the warehouse
• Answers queries and handles routine requests related to receiving parts and materials
• Follows established policies and procedures related to receiving parts and materials and complies with established methodologies and quality standards
• Escalates issues requiring advanced expertise or knowledge about the broader business impact of decisions. Works with mentor on more advanced issues
• Prepares standard reports and completes documentation related to shipping, and receiving
• Assists with special projects in the warehouse
• May provide routine analysis of work outcomes with guidance from immediate supervisor and / or a mentor
• Performs tasks related to the receiving, issuing, and shipping of parts and materials
• Conducts cycle counts and assists with root cause analysis of issues
• Operates forklift on a regular basis
• Utilizes warehouse inventory system to track and monitor inventory levels
• Recognizes areas of improvement and offers suggestions for continuous improvement
• Other duties as required

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• High-school graduation with related post-secondary education (supply chain management, business, accounting)
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience,
• Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations required
• Basic knowledge of mining equipment and parts preferred
• Basic knowledge of purchasing best practices preferred
• Must able to work autonomously while exercising sound judgement
• Must be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
• Excellent inter-personal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort.
• Good communication skills, both orally and written with both internal and external contacts and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate

Working Conditions:

Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions. This will be 7 day on 7 day off rotation 11 hour days.

Physical requirements:

This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.
