AKE Safety Equipment Hiring for Recruiter and HR Assistant at Rochester, MN Full Time

AKE Safety Equipment is a market-leading fire safety equipment manufacturing and sales company. We are looking for someone who is professional, ambitious and reliable to fill a Recruiter and HR Assistant position in Rochester, MN. We operate on a national scale, targeting customers who farm and reside in agriculturally productive areas of the U.S. Our Recruiter and HR Assistant will be responsible for actively recruiting various open positions within the Company, with most of their focus being on outside sales personnel. This role requires creativity, quick adaptation to change and has the ability to keep the success and forward movement of the business as the ultimate top priority.

Specific Responsibilities:

• A large aspect of the position will focus on recruitment efforts; specifically targeting Outside Sales Representatives that reside in rural and agriculturally productive areas throughout country
• Source candidates through creative means without relying on those who are actively applying on job boards
• Work with hiring managers to understand the expectations of the open role to ensure the best candidate fit to reduce unwanted turnover
• Thoroughly evaluate and vet candidates throughout the preliminary interviewing processes through applications, conducting phone and in-person interviews and general communication
• Maintain continuous contact with recruits during preliminary recruiting efforts to ensure a quality and professional candidate experience
• Some travel throughout the country will be required to assist in recruiting efforts
• Maintain accurate records and databases
• Contributes new ideas that help drive efficiency and team goals
• Assists with process documentation and continuous improvement
• Supports HR Manager in all HR related functions as necessary

• Ability to work courteously and have a professional attitude with all AKE staff members
• Must be able to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment that emphasizes accuracy and timeliness

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 3 + years of experience
• Experience working with W2 employees and 1099 contractors
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial and sales focused environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,284.00 – $49,323.00 per year
