We currently have a requirement for a Project Manager to join the AJQ Delivery Team.

Our client is a State Government Department who is looking to bolster their team to assist with the delivery of a core project delivering a number of technology solutions to facilitate the planning and design activities for an online community register.

This role is offered on a contract basis in a hybrid working environment with an immediate start.

The Role:

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of this projects within this Government Department.

This role is also responsible for managing the various dependencies currently in train, so portfolio management and planning strategy experience will be an advantage.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables including the definition of the future state business model and architecture for all involved parties.
• Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Identifying and managing project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are followed.
• Tracking and ing on project metrics and key performance indicators.
• Championing Agile project management methodologies and facilitate Agile ceremonies, such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Managing the end-to-end project lifecycle using agile methodologies.
• Developing and maintaining Business Cases and Project Initiation Documents (PIDs).
• Preparing Procurement and Contracts Packs as necessary.
• Providing regular Program Status s and Program Budget Tracking updates.
• Handling Change Requests efficiently, ensuring proper impact assessment and change control.
• Developing a robust Deployment Plan for seamless system rollout.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A minimum 5 years Project Management experience.
• Experience managing dependencies across a number of projects in a given portfolio.
• Experience and ability to direct multiple project activities to achieve business outcomes for all projects / stakeholders / peers.
• Pre-project planning and investment experience such as writing of business cases and concept shaping is desired.
• Experience working within large complex ICT environments (preferably within government sector) and ing to Steering Committees at senior management and exec levels.
• Formal project management methodology experience required – either PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
• Hands-on experience required in managing finance/forecast and delivering projects to approved budget.
• Experience in direct communication with senior management and the project governance authorities (Business Sponsor, project board, steering committee, etc.) with the frequency and formality that they deem necessary.
