AJQ Technology Consulting Hiring for Business Analyst at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Full Time

We are currently seeking a number of skilled Business Analysts to join our team as we partner with a Victorian State Government Department, to play a key role in defining their business problems, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, and enhancing their customer service offerings.

This role is a contract position based in Melbourne in a hybrid working environment.

You will be responsible for:

• Engaging Stakeholders: Collaborating closely with department business stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
• Defining Business Problems: Documenting problem definitions and gain deep insights into the issues at hand.
• Problem Statements: Defining clear and concise problem statements to address the issues identified by stakeholders.
• Process Flows: Creating comprehensive “as is” process flows to visualize existing operations.
• User Journeys: Mapping out user journeys to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
• Business Requirements: Capturing high-level business requirements that will guide effective solutions.
• Business Case Development: Developing compelling business cases to support proposed initiatives and drive decision-making.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in a similar role.
• A minimum 5 years of proven business analysis experience, with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects/assignments.
• Advanced skills in building strong business stakeholder relationships including the ability to quickly build business domain knowledge.
• Experience in coordinating and leading workshops with business stakeholders to capture requirements.
• Experience defining detailed business problem statements, including business needs and impacts.
• Experience in undertaking process re-engineering, including capturing business process as-is and to-be states in process flows.
• Experience in leading business stakeholders through user journey mapping activities.
• Experience in recording prioritised high level business requirements, ensuring an appropriate level of detail is captured depending on need/complexity.
• Experienced working autonomously to a set time boxed schedule.
• Previous experience on an Australian-based Government department project
