Description:

Working within the Business Improvement Team, you will play a key role in delivering corporate improvements and culture change projects. Your work is focussed on, but not limited to, the following:

• Conduct research and analysis to contribute to the understanding of business problems and the delivery of organisation-level improvements.
• Take the lead on team-level process documentation projects.
• Working with multiple teams across the corporate services directorate to document and evaluate AS IS processes.
• Identifying opportunities for improvements to ways of working and creating team-level efficiencies.
• Engaging across functions to develop holistic TO BE processes.
• Gather user requirements for technology, systems, and behaviours.
• Monitor and evaluate improvements, new systems, and ways of working.
• Delivering change.
• Working across multiple projects.
• Stakeholder engagement and support.
• Facilitating workshops.
• Problem-solving and presenting complicated scenarios.
• Influencing stakeholders.
• User-centred design.
• Strategy and architecture.
• Experience of applying an analytical technique to information and reporting results.

Business change:

• Understanding of investigating operational needs and problems contributing to the recommendation of improvements to processes and organisation.

Solution development and implementation:

• Understanding of all publication development support activities, such as information gathering, user task analysis and creating draft documentation.
• Understanding of establishing, modifying or maintaining a data structure using data analysis and data modelling techniques.

Project:

• Experience of working in a project environment.

General:

• Able to utilise office software packages to an intermediate or higher level. In particular MS Word, Project and Excel.
• Organised, with the ability to work to agreed goals, in a self-directed and professional manner.
• Ability to plan, document and prioritise own workload, in a proactive manner.
• Demonstrable excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate successful outcomes with stakeholders.
• Awareness of influencing and negotiation skills.
• Facilitation skills.
• Ability to be an active listener and to tailor communication to the audience.
• Ability to handle conflict and deal with problems.
