We are looking for an Intern to join us over the summer of 2021. As an intern you will be responsible for helping with the daily finance operations and support the team with financial reporting activities in the organisation as well as a project you will work on throughout the duration of your internship. You will also be exposed to other aspects of life working at unicorn FinTech/startup!

    • You think big – you will have the ability to influence and optimise the financial operations support processes and systems as we grow and scale the team

What you will do

    • Driving process improvement. Managing our data processes to ensure accuracy and speed
    • Assist with the handling of daily finance operations including building reconciliations, process improvements & application of technical accounting standards
    • Support Finance Manager for monthly financial reports & analysis on timely basis
    • Support with for tax reporting at assigned jurisdictions
    • Use data to draw insightful conclusions to help make better decisions
    • Assist with any ad-hoc reports to management when necessary
    • Work on an impactful project & present to Senior Management.

What you will bring

    • Some previous work experience
    • Desire to work in a start-up & fintech
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
    • In your penultimate year of studies of a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Accounting
    • Be able to work full time over the summer period (10-12 weeks)
    • Details oriented, entrepreneurial-mindset and self-motivated
    • Have full working rights in Australia ( Australian or NZ citizen or Australian PR)
