What you will be doing

NAVBLUE is proud to be partnering with Airbus in the Pilot Graduate Program and excited to announce an opening for a Graduate Software Developer in our Canadian office (Waterloo based).

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is a leading global provider of flight operations solutions, including aeronautical charts, navigation data solutions, flight planning, aircraft performance software (take-off/landing, weight and balance), and crew planning solutions. These products directly support millions of flights each year and help NAVBLUE customers maximize efficiency, reduce costs, ensure compliance with complex national and international safety regulations, and effectively deliver their services.

At NAVBLUE, and powered by our extended family at Airbus, you will be able to shape the future of the digital aviation industry by working on several of the best in the industry flagship products such as our award winning flight planning solution, flight tracking, crew scheduling and other 30+ different applications enabling pilots, dispatchers, flight engineers and other aviation personnel on daily basis to deliver a safe, efficient, and reliable flight operations all over the world.

In this position, you will be responsible for;

Development, deployment, maintenance and support of various applications, systems, and tools.

Assisting with coding, testing and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software to meet product specifications.

Assigned projects are specified in detail and of limited complexity.

Working under direct supervision and receiving training on all aspects of the business.

What we look for

To be a successful applicant to this position on the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will be able to demonstrate;

Educated to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study – Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent

Good C, C++, C# and/or Perl Programming Skills

Knowledge of any of OpenGL, Networking, UNIX Shell Scripting, Optimization, SQL, XML, Perl/CGI, RDMS and GUI Development would be beneficial

Maximum of three years relevant work experience

Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)

A desire to work in a collaborative transnational team environment, focused on driving future innovation

The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
