The opportunity

We are currently looking for Senior and Junior Engineer Software Development to join our team in a permanent full time opportunities Reporting to Team Lead Software Development you will be responsible for working within an engineering team to develop and deliver design solutions, using a systems engineering design philosophy, in accordance with the level and scope of Engineering Authority delegated to you. Specifically you will:

• Undertake Technical Information Review within your scope
• Develop, review, approve and manage Design Engineering tasks within your scope, including but not limited to advice, repairs and modifications
• Develop and approve engineering advice and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness in accordance with the level and scope of delegated Engineering Authority
• Maintain data files, engineering records and electronic databases as required to accurately report and record engineering decisions

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience suited to this role:

• Typically 3+ years’ professional experience working in relevant engineering field as a practicing design engineer in the aviation industry
• Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g. DASR, CAANZ,CASA, etc.), standards and best practices
• Understanding of maintenance and engineering cost drivers and how to ensure cost effectiveness
• Bachelor of Engineering in Software, Avionics, Electronics or compatible discipline from nationally accredited program or equivalent
• Ability to obtain DE2 level of Engineering Authority within Design Engineering
