Role Overview

As a vocational school, we are relentlessly focused on student outcomes. It’s not by accident that we have a 100% hiring rate within 4 months of graduation. Your role will be critical to helping us maintain this and push to improve it. You will build relationships with fast growing tech companies and sell access to top calibre candidates before anybody else has. Therefore you will ensure AiCore graduates have a direct path into these companies. You will be responsible for looking after the career coaching for our programme, helping educate our students on what they need to do to succeed in their job search. This includes working with students on:

• Course specific industry communities and career progression
• Building their personal brand, both verbally and visually
• CVs and portfolios
• Digital presence – LinkedIn, social media, blogging
• Applications and interviewing
• Networking and mentorship
• Facilitating introductions to employers
• Speak regularly with students to discuss their career goals and support them in their job-hunts during 1:1 coaching sessions.
• Organise careers and networking events for alumni job-seekers, founders and freelancers to meet one another.

Why you might not be excited about us

• We’re small (~7 people in the company now), so if you like more established companies, it’s not (yet) the right time. You’ll help build our company’s culture.
• Since we’re an early stage startup, projects and priorities may shift.
• We can’t (yet) provide close mentorship for juniors. As we grow, we’ll get a lot better at this.
• Since you’ll have a lot of responsibility and creativity over projects, they may not be defined perfectly initially. You’ll be expected to bring your own experience and perspective to help us do the right things, and raise flags if you think we should do things differently.

About you

Basic prerequisites:

• 2+ years of experience in sales, tech recruitment or talent acquisition or in a similar position with a strong network across the UK and London specifically
• Agency experience recruiting entry level candidates
• Experience with CRM software, preferably Hubspot
• Deep understanding of how recruitment processes work and how to increase chances of students getting through
• Network of employers you have worked with in the past
• Experience of 360 recruitment process

Preferred skills:

• Have established relationships with tech companies, especially in the data and Ai space
• Experience working with Training providers
• Demonstrated history of working in the staffing and recruiting industry
• Understanding of Data & Ai talent market
• Experience organising events, with a focus on our Meet & Greet events for recruiting
• Involved in the tech community and enjoy attending events and networking
• Agency / in house tech recruitment background (experience in data preferred)
• B2B sales experience
• Email marketing experiencef

Interview process

We want you at your best, and won’t be giving you gotcha-style algorithms questions. We want to get to know you, hear about what you’re interested in, and learn about what you hope to do in the future.

1. Meet us and learn about AiCore

You’ll first talk to Haron (over phone) for ~15 minutes and won’t need to prepare anything in advance. The goal of this conversation is to make sure you understand what the role is, that the logistics work for you and a chance for you to ask any questions about our company, team culture, and product.

2. Technical interview

Everyone has different strengths, and we want you to do your best work. Our goal is to learn more about your approach to selling our students into enterprise.

We will send you a document outlining the key points of our students and school in advance. We would like you to prepare a 15 minute presentation on the approach you would take to establishing talent resourcing partnerships with enterprise at scale. Including who you would reach out to and what points you would focus on to sell to them.

3. Interview with the founders

You will have a longer, in-depth conversation with each Haron, Harry and Christian individually. This is so we can get to know you and mutually explore if we might be a good fit for each other. You won’t need to prepare anything in advance.

This is primarily used to get a better feel for your experience, how you work, and where you may fit in.

4. Reference conversations

We will talk to a few people you’ve worked with before to learn more about how we can best work with you. We expect to hear great things, so this is primarily to figure out how we can work with you as effectively as possible.
