Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Business Partner to contribute to the strategic direction of the Ahrens group and our associated entities. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer the role will partner with various business units to maximise the performance and profitability of our operations and identify performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

• Accurately manage data with a specific focus on understanding costs in all areas of the business
• Build costing models
• Make recommendations for improvements, based on financial analysis and critical thinking – as well as working with teams to identify and implement opportunities
• Support divisions with driving forecasting and budgeting processes to improve profitability
• Proactively develop controls or processes that will provide data integrity and efficiency
• Prepare reports and analysis of labour and equipment utilisation and efficiency, overhead recovery, cost of sales
• Provide timely and accurate analytical support for internal stakeholders
• Management accounts for various divisions
• Liaise with auditors in relation to compliance matters
• Various accounting reports, including; profit and loss review, balance sheet reconciliations, KPI reporting and month end reporting

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Must be able to travel to various locations as required
• Experience with large ERP systems
• Proven ability to adapt to change and continuous improvement
• Hands on approach – with the ability to get involved in all aspects of the business
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite – with advanced skills in Excel
• A high level of organisation and the ability to balance multiple priorities
• Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with Managers and external customers
• Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills – with the ability to use initiative
• Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications on Accounting, Business or similar
• Pronto ERP
• At least 5 years experience in a project and / or costing role
