1. Summary of Position:

The Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer is responsible for obtaining, analyzing, and validating the required logistic element and reliability and maintainability data by reviewing all the available and pertinent documentation and to capture the data in a useable database format.

The data shall be used for Supply Support, Tools & GSE and Product Support Engineering Entry Into Service, specifically for initial tool & spares provisioning, forecasting and planning of spares, to aide in developing LHD, customers, and service centers local capabilities and support infrastructure with required repair capabilities and for developing/improving the Technical Publications.

The ILS engineer shall coordinate with Materials, Procurement and any other LD Departments to analyze the need for repair and manufacturing efforts to support the AW products infrastructure in North America and Globally. The ILS Engineer will coordinate repair activities and extended capabilities with Suppliers.

The Integrated Logistic Support Engineer shall be responsible for the process and methodologies of the above, ensuring pan-geographic alignment of the company methodologies used within the team.

The Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer will assist and Product Support Engineering Entry Into Service to ensure the proper setup and development of Data Base (Logistic) that will be used for the initial provisioning list of the recommended spare parts and tool lists, as well as their maintenance in order to ensure contractual compliance for recurring customer deliverables.

These activities will require a strict configuration control of the aircraft during the development process in cooperation with Design Organization and LHD vendors.

It is also responsible to support Product Support Engineering team with maintainability and reliability analysis of the aircraft, as well as provide input for Product Improvements and calculating Direct Maintenance and Operating Costs, as well as providing recommendations on how to reduce DMC & DOCs will also be required.

The position will require coordination with the applicable CS&T departments (PSE EIS, CSM, PM) and geographies, as well as the external customers and service centers, to ensure that all Logistic Elements (Maintenance Planning, Manpower & Personnel, Technical Publications, Training & Training Systems, Tools & GSE, Computer Resources, Facilities, Packaging, Handling, Shipping & Transportation, Design Interface, Supply Support, and Sustaining Engineering) are aligned, and on schedule for the new programs and customers.

Liaise with Vendors and Subcontractors to determine required inputs to support the databases and analysis.

Build and maintain database to obtain/deliver/manage recommendations for tooling/GSE/spares and any other logistic parameters required for obtaining applicable maintenance capabilities at new bases/locations or expanding capabilities at existing bases/locations.

  • Qualifications for Position    :


A. Education

Bachelor Degree in Industrial or Aerospace Engineering (Aeronautics/Mechanics/Electronics)


B. Experience

  • 3-5 Years Experience in ILS/Repairs and/or Manufacturing preferred.
  • Previous experience on rotary wing.
  • Previous experience supporting government programs and requirements.
