THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual ready to take on the role of Assistant Farm Manager. This position is suitable for someone looking to step up into a managerial role or an experienced Team Leader seeking new challenges and personal growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the Farm Manager, overseeing and mentoring a team across various farm duties while ensuring adherence to animal welfare and best farming practices.

The Responsibilities

As the Assistant Farm Manager, your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading, supervising, and mentoring a team.
  • Organising daily work schedules.
  • Meet the company’s high standards of animal welfare and ensure maximum production efficiency.
  • Ensuring a safe workplace.
  • Collaborating with the team to enhance productivity.
  • Adhering to GMP & HACCP protocols.
  • Demonstrating passion, enthusiasm, and a “hands-on” approach.
  • Flexibility in managing production and roster changes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 to 5 years experience in poultry production.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • The ability to collect and record data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

LOCATION

The role is located within minutes of the town of West Wyalong, NSW, Australia.

REMUNERATION

An attractive salary package commensurate with experience will be offered to the successful candidate and will include free accommodation.
