Summary:

The Shipping Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of shipments, managing logistics documentation, and coordinating with various internal departments and external partners to facilitate smooth shipping operations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication to ensure the efficient movement of goods from point of origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process order fulfillment and shipments via ERP system.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts to load heavy equipment and crates onto trailers.
• Receive, review, and process shipping orders from internal departments or customers.
• Verify order accuracy, product quantities, and shipping instructions.
• Plan and coordinate transportation and shipping schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers to arrange shipments.
• Track and monitor shipment status, ensuring real-time updates to company staff.
• Notify customers with order shipment details and expected delivery dates and times.
• Assist customers arriving in the shipping department for warehouse pick-ups.
• Maintain a clean and organized loading dock and outdoor storage area.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments as the seasons change.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Forklift operating experience.
• Proactive mindset to prevent and resolve issues quickly.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Proven experience in shipping, logistics coordination, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
