About The Role

You will complement a team of talented recruiters who genuinely care about providing an exceptional candidate and hiring leader experience that enables AGL to enter the next phase of growth and evolution as we lead the decarbonisation journey.
Based in the beautiful Hunter Valley, this position predominantly supports recruitment activity at AGL’s Macquarie operations across the Bayswater and Liddell power stations. Whilst this is a site-based position, we do offer family friendly hybrid working arrangements, allowing the opportunity to grow your career without losing sight of the important things outside of work.
What You’ll Be Doing
In your new role of Talent Acquisition Partner, you will provide professional end to end recruitment support to hiring leaders attracting and securing talent across a variety of roles aligned with the Integrated Energy business portfolio for our Macquarie operations (Bayswater & Liddell power stations).
With an understanding of current and future talent needs, you will design and implement creative recruitment campaigns to attract and secure the rare and hard to find talent through proactive searches, market mapping and talent pooling.
In addition, you will:
  • Ensure the candidate experience is prioritised throughout the recruitment process
  • Build credibility as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders to influence best practice hiring decisions
  • Support our Diversity and Inclusion agenda across the key pillars of Gender, Disability, Caring, Cultural Identity, LGBTQ+ and First Nations contributing to achieving our RAP goals
  • Actively contribute to identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
About You
We are looking for an experience, passionate and deeply curious Talent Acquisition Partner, with a desire to truly partner with the business, take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment experience and actively engage and collaborate with your teammates.
You’re gravitating toward an in-house talent acquisition opportunity because it allows you to perform meaningful work where your contribution is visible in the way our people work to shape the future of energy. You want to provide a high level of service to your stakeholders, build close relationships and add value to the recruitment experience.
What You Will Bring to The Table
With a clear alignment to our AGL values, you will bring high energy, and a hunger to keep learning and expanding your horizons along with:
  • Talent acquisition experience at a mid-senior level working within or recruiting for large, complex organisations. Experience in energy, mining and/or heavy industry will be highly regarded.
  • Emotional intelligence, combined with the communication skills to build quality partnerships with hiring leaders and candidates.
  • Strong ability to apply proactive, critical thinking and judgement to solve problems.
  • Proven ability to operate within established processes, yet comfortable to challenge the status quo
