We have a great opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our AGL Macquarie Finance team.
As the Finance Business Partner you will report to the Finance Manager, Operations supporting our AGL Macquarie site. You will provide business partnering, management and financial accounting including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.
Working closely with our site-based stakeholders you will be analysing financial and operational information along with providing advice and accounting services to assist Management to make informed decisions in relation to the operation of the site.
Here at AGL we work flexibly with a combination of office (covid permitting) and work from home, and we are happy to discuss what this means for you. This also means we are open to considering applications from the Hunter Region, Sydney, Melbourne and even Brisbane.
This is a permanent, full-time role. Attendance to our operational site will be required from time to time.
Month-end accounting and reporting processes
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, five-year plans and monthly forecasts
Monitor actual capital/maintenance expenditure and analyse, investigate and report on variances, initiating corrective action where necessary
FTE modelling and payroll accounting
Update and manage key operational drivers including reconciliation
GST reporting and Cashflow analysis
Assist in delivery of operational and improvement projects
AGLM and Group Operations Reporting Functions are complete per timetable
Provide advice on the correct accounting treatment for expenses, capital expenditure and revenue
Prepare operational reports/dashboard for Senior Management and Team Leaders
Evaluate reporting tools and information requirements in particular works management
Key to your success in this role is your solid operational accounting and finance experience along with being a strong communicator able to confidently collaborate with a range a stakeholders.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
CA/CPA qualifications (or working towards)
Relevant practical experience in an accounting level role in similar or related businesses
Applied skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Advanced knowledge and application of an integrated IT financial system, such as SAP
Demonstrated superior analytical and conceptual skills
Proven experience in handling multiple responsibilities and meeting strict deadlines
Professional presentation and interpersonal skills
Motivated, self-starter with flexible and collaborative work style
