About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team and contribute to delivering the annual budget, 4-year plan and quarterly reforecasting processes for the Marketing and Sales & Transformation business units, as well as contributing to completion of month-end processes and associated management reporting for these business units.
What you’ll be doing:
- Contribute to delivering budgets, reforecasts and 4-year plans, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow for the Marketing and Sales & Transformation business units
- Gather inputs and prepare calculations to be used in budgets and reforecasts
- Work with the central reporting team to produce necessary inputs into reporting packs
- Support the team in preparing variance analysis vs prior periods and last forecast to enable informed management reviews
- Complete month-end tasks including posting of journals to meet group deadlines
- Record non-financial data as part of month-end close process
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for key GL accounts
- Prepare variance analysis for actual result vs prior period, budget and last forecast
- Contribute to preparation of disclosure packs for external reporting
- Prepare data for adhoc external regulator requests as required (e.g. ACCC, ABS, ATO)
- Identify opportunities and execute on process and system improvements
About You
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or economics
- CA/CPA/ACA/MBA qualified
- Experience using Finance module of ERP (preferably SAP)
- Advanced user of MS Excel
- Experience working with large complex data sets
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
- Experience of month-end close process
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse complex problems, identify issues, think laterally, and apply analytical, qualitative and research techniques to develop appropriate strategies
- Work collaboratively with others and build and maintain strong team relationships, while genuinely seeking input from others and respecting their views
- Highly motivated, energetic, flexible, commercially focused with a can-do attitude
