Job Description

DGG/BioReagents Order Fulfillment and Supply Chain (OFS) is a cluster of key Agilent manufacturing sites responsible for Bio-reagent products including antibodies, microarrays – oligos, screen tape and microfluidic instruments and consumables in partnership with the Diagnostics and Genomics (DGG) business. BioReagents OFS consists of 6 key manufacturing sites delivering ~$1B of annual revenues.

This role will support Global DGG/BioReagents OFS Financial Planning and Analysis (FP-A) and the Pathology and Reagent Partnership manufacturing site in Carpinteria, CA. This individual is expected to lead financial planning logistics (SPR, Fall Plan and forecasts) engaging with site financial analysts as well as DGG and OFS FP-A managers. Furthermore, in support of the Carpinteria site, this individual is expected to partner with site manufacturing managers/employees to understand, reconcile and manage manufacturing financials to Plan/forecast.

Key Responsibilities:

BioReagents Global FP-A

• Strong operational partner to BioReagents OFS VP and Controller
• Lead financial planning logistics for DGG OFS (SPR, Plan and forecasts)
• Drive to financial reporting convergence with OFS FP-A
• Publish weekly BR Dashboard
• Maintain, publish, consolidate month end financials and site reports

Pathology/Reagent Partnership Manufacturing Site Analyst

• Strong operational partner to Carpinteria OFS Associate VP and site team
• Develop and present site financial results to local staff, where needed, course correct when outlook deviates from Plan/forecast
• Perform month-end close bookings
• Assist annual standard setting
• Handle, reconcile site variance analysis v. Plan/forecast
• Deliver monthly explanations to all main cogs deviations (Site Report)
• Provide Ad Hoc financial support to manufacturing teams
• Set, measure and lead key site metrics with co-ownership by Site Manufacturing Manager:
  • Manufacturing Expenses/HC
  • Production Variances
  • Inventory
  • Scrap
  • Excess – Obsolescence (E-O)
• Site finance lead for physical inventory count in Production and Finished Good warehouse
• Site finance lead for quarterly E-O provision calculation
• Respond or coordinate responses to Year-end audit requests from external and internal audit

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent
• Typically 8+ years relevant experience for entry to this level
• Post-graduate and/or certification/ license may be required
• Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in job
