Parts Category Manager

Who We Are Looking For:

• Prepare, support & manage parts marketing objectives, policy & programs for the COR & DVS parts categories ensuring profitable growth.
• Monitor sales, margin & service level performance and implement programs and initiatives to ensure objectives are met
• Define the product offer for assigned categories, maintaining parts data in line with the parts lifecycle management strategy.

What You Will Do:

• Works closely with Director Aftersales and other Parts Category Managers on marketing initiatives.
• Works closely with Customer Support, Area Commercial Managers, Supply & Distribution and Operations on appropriate initiatives and related activities.
• Works closely with Wholegoods Product Managers and Field Service to ensure the parts product offer is in line with wider business objectives – specifically coordinating initial order process.
• Communicates with Dealers to monitor market activity, formulate strategy and ensure maximum value on all activities.
• Conducts market research to identify opportunities for new and existing products, primarily focusing on the optimal product offer to support AGCO branded machinery at varying lifecycle stages.
• Works with the Director Aftersales and Central Pricing Team to monitor cost & selling prices evaluating competitive environment and price positioning whilst delivering on sales and margin targets.
• Works with the APA Strategic Marketing Manager to ensure alignment with Regional programmes and objectives.
• Advises on product marketing strategies including product positioning, promotion, advertising and distribution options.

What You Will Bring:

• Tertiary education/qualification in a Business Discipline.
• Skilled in the use of MS office suite.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience in a Parts Distribution business in a customer support, marketing or supply role.
• Good all round emerging business skills with a background in agriculture preferable.
• Strong technical skill with experience in agricultural equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

A Plus If You Have:

• Associates/Technical Degree
• Moderate/reasonable Problem Solving Skills – Requires good analytical skills as well as evaluative judgement based on the analysis of factual and qualitive information in complicated or novel situations. Multiple sources of information refer to a diverse range of internal and external sources such as procedures and practices in other areas, team, companies etc. The ability to filter, prioritize, analyze and validate potentially complex and dynamic material.
