GoodHealthy Food Processing Team Member

A GoodHealthy Food Processing Team Member is responsible for the washing, packing, and processing of freshly harvested plants into retail and/or wholesale-packaged goods for the retail and food service sectors.

Job Roles
– Learn and implement strategies and procedures related to wash/pack operations and automated systems.
– Assist in washing and packing of produce.
– Ability to inspect produce and identify any deficiencies in quality.
– Implement comprehensive maintenance and safety policies and procedures for the packhouse.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and/or qualifications:
– Meticulous with respect to personal health & wellness hygiene
– Ability to maintain sanitized equipment and facilities
– Is comfortable with a shift-work environment including early, late, and weekend shifts.
– Highly organized and detail oriented.
– Strong interpersonal and communication
– Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb. pound bins of food as well as able to stand, walk, and work up to 10-hour days in a fresh food wash and pack facility
– Preferred, experience processing fresh plants into packaged products
– Preferred, at least one year in a food safety certified kitchen and/or food processing facility with the following certifications: USDA GAP Harmonized, SQF, USDA Organic

GoodHealthy Food Processing Team Members will have frequent interface with farm managers, greenhouse managers, cooler management teams, and delivery teams.

This is an entry level opportunity with room to grow and offering above-average compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time
