Afrocenchix is a UK based Afro Hair brand formulating and manufacturing natural products for Afro hair. We’re going through an exciting period of growth and we need a Finance & Accounts Coordinator to manage our daily accounting functions, analyse and prepare management reports and drive business growth to support our scale-up. We’re looking for a hard-working, competitive and self-motivated individual who has a passion for working within the Afro hair industry. The position carries a fair degree of responsibility so requires a motivated problem solver with an eye for detail and a methodical best practice approach to their work.
Reporting directly to the founders, you will implement robust practices and optimise our current processes that will help build and define the Finance structure within the business. You will also support functions such as bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting, business risk and financial planning and analysis. We are looking for an agile and conscientious team member who can demonstrate incredible business foresight, constantly identifying risks and opportunities, strategically finding new business growth opportunities and savvy ways to save cash.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a startup environment, although this is not necessary for the role, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a relevant Finance role. You will embody our core values whilst demonstrating an aptitude for both operating and thinking strategically while also being willing to “roll up the sleeves”, being hands on and picking up ad-hoc tasks and supporting the wider team with any queries.
Salary: £30 – £40k (dependent on experience)
