Erickson Flooring & Supply Company is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers and for actively prospecting for new accounts. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in sales, with experience in hardwood, flooring, or building products industry. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

The position offers a competitive salary plus performance based commission structure and an excellent benefits package.

Job Description: The candidate must:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with new and prospective customers to generate closed business

  • Consult with clients to determine requirements and expectations and recommend specific products and solutions; calculate estimates to provide competitive pricing

  • Build and maintain product displays, train dealer network staff on products and services, and provide technical support on installations when needed

  • Plan and execute personal sales strategy to maximize efforts and results

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints

  • Demonstrate a proficiency in territory analysis and be able to identify and develop new client and market opportunities

  • Monitor monthly sales activity against goals and prepare regular sales s for company management

  • Ensure the growth of the business and be committed to the company’s success

Requirements: The candidate will: Have a minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably in the hardwood, flooring, or building products industry Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience Demonstrate the ability to articulate a value proposition that directly addresses clients’ individual and distinct needs Possess strong persuasive and interpersonal skills with the ability to use a consultative approach to close sales Demonstrate the ability to sell through a distributor network with experience in product training and ongoing dealer support Travel within assigned sales territory up to 90% of the time prospecting and developing new business Have a strong customer focus and be passionate about building long-term business relationships Have strong time management skills and work ethic to work independently Thrive in a team environment and be a positive team player Have computer proficiency in Microsoft office No calls to Erickson Flooring & Supply, please. #INDR
