AES Drilling Fluids Hiring for Billing Clerk Job at Midland, TX Full Time

AES Drilling Fluids is seeking a Billing Clerk for our Midland office. This is an entry level position for a candidate interested in starting a career in accounting. This position requires someone with a high level of curiosity, strong attention to detail, very self-initiated and a desire for constant learning and growth. This position is responsible for securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring receivables are tracked and monitored pursuant to generally accepted accounting principles and issues are properly communicated to internal AES customers and management. Estimated annual salary $40,000-$42,000 annually ($20-22hr + overtime).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares invoices as assigned for various accounts to include wholesale, inter-company and barite mill invoices.
• Works with warehouse and engineering personnel to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Creates invoices based on inventory control system reconciliation and customer price list and processes invoices according to customer preferences.
• Supports Sr Billing Specialists and Account Managers with billing issues as assigned.
• Completes end of month tasks, as assigned.
• Prices and costs end of month files.
• Must be willing and able to learn, cross-train, and assist with any functions performed by the Accounting Supervisor.
• Completes special projects and performs all other duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or other AES management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED with higher level education preferred.
• One (1) year of relevant billing and accounts receivable-related work experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (including strong Microsoft Excel skills) and Outlook.
• Previous experience with ERP software is beneficial.
