Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking an experienced Data Acquisition and Control System Engineer to join our Avionics Engineering Test Equipment Design organization. This position will be located at our facility in Canoga Park, California (Los Angeles area) and will to the Avionics Special Test Equipment (STE) Design Manager.
The applicant should have the expertise in electronics and automated test system design. This task includes:
- Define & document Test Requirements
- Conceptual STE Design
- Preliminary STE Design
- Hardware/Software/Manufacturing Design
- STE Critical Design
- STE Integration with Unit Under Test
- Verification
- Validation
Our automated test systems include those designed for testing analog, digital and high power electronics for space and defense applications. Units requiring automated test range from single-board computers, data acquisition boards, valve actuators to rocket engine controllers used in space-based applications. The automated test systems perform acceptance testing at the PWA (board) and unit (box) level. The applicant should be familiar with standard test equipment (stimulus and measurement devices, both analog and digital) and capable of designing custom interface circuits where COTS equipment does satisfy test requirements. Familiarity with STE software (LabVIEW & LabWindows) is desirable.
In this role, you will initially support a defense program. In addition, you will perform an array of technical and project engineering related duties in support of a variety of Avionics STE design projects.
