Description:
The Role

After a transformative FY21 with the acquisition and integration of the Cracow Gold Mine, FY22 has been as equally exciting and prosperous year for Aeris Resources with LOM extensions at Cracow, our exciting exploration results at our Constellation deposit at our Tritton Copper Operation in NSW, and in May 2022 the announcement of our acquisition of Round Oak Minerals which incorporates the Mt Colin Copper Operations in QLD and the Jaguar Zinc Mine in WA.

As we seek to continue this momentum and recognising that Talent Acquisition is at the forefront of our success, we seek the newly created role of Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team. This person will be responsible for the delivering end-to-end talent acquisition and onboarding activities ensuring an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers that delivers the right talent to the right roles at the right time.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Mentor and develop direct reports and wider team members to build high functioning Talent team.
• Manage all recruitment and selection activities to minimise hire time and associated loss of productivity by successfully deploying a ‘just in time’ talent strategy
• Oversee systems implementation and ongoing use of online Candidate Management System and candidate experience platform and improvements.
• Develop Aeris’ talent pipeline with a focus on problematic segments e.g. Trades, engineers, skilled operators
• Manage process automation projects for the Talent team and seek new ways to improve on onboarding processes to ensure minimal time to hire and optimal candidate and hiring manager experience
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with organisations who can positively and sustainably contribute to our talent pipeline e.g. (agencies/universities/veteran outplacement)
• Maintain tracking regarding recruitment performance and metrics providing weekly reports to the Chief People Officer and associated commentary.
• Liaise with site operations teams regarding alternative approaches to address labour shortages.
• Create an environment driving continuous improvement across all Talent sectors

About You

Minimum 10 years in recruitment in Mining and/or Heavy/blue collar Industry sectors
Proven track record of managing the recruitment teams within Mining and or Heavy/blue collar Industry sectors
High level of computer and social media literacy including HRIS and LinkedIn
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business or Human Resources) or experience
Well-developed time management skills and the ability to multi task
Ability to proactively seek process improvement opportunities and solutions to issues
Exceptional communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, verbal and written.
Enthusiasm, commitment, and self-direction.
