Job Description
We launched our ambitious regional Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) strategy for Europe and India just over a year ago and already we have delivered impressive achievements in this time to help make us a more inclusive place to work but there’s still much more to do.
AECOM has an exciting new opportunity for an HR Manager – ED&I to join its Europe and India HR team
Reporting to the Head of ED&I, Europe and India, this is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our ED&I programme, working closely and collaboratively with wide-ranging stakeholders including the Executive Team, HR, Business Lines leads, Country managers, Employee Resource Groups and operational colleagues of all levels, across the region and globally too.
You will be an experienced HR professional and ideally have worked in ED&I , although this is not essential. More importantly, you are a strong project manager or consultant who can deliver on multiple programmes at pace , whilst being able to bring people with you with your inclusive approach to create tangible behavioural change
Responsibilities:
Leading and supporting effective and timely implementation of ED&I and HR initiatives in line with business priorities, utilising strong project management methodology, both independently and as a team
Proactively coach line managers to develop their capability, providing advice and consultancy on wide range of complex and sensitive HR issues, regionally and globally
Providing support and advice to Employee Resource Groups including event budget and business planning
Preparing and delivering presentations and workshops internally and externally across different audiences and territories
Delivering on external accreditations and awards submissions including Clear Accreditation and Disability Confident
Planning, organising and contributing at ED&I performance meetings, including some at Executive level, regionally and globally
Using and developing our people analytics to enable business leaders to make data-led decisions and measure our performance.
Providing innovative solutions to new and emerging ED&I and HR challenges
Support HR projects as required across our Europe and India region
Qualifications
The role holder will be able to build effective relationships with line managers and leadership teams, including senior and executive level
A strong influencer who can build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and challenge peers and senior leads when appropriate to do so
Proactive and solutions oriented in emerging areas where there may be minimal available guidance.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Ability to lead and support transformational projects requiring tenacity and resilience, in people or change management
Has an understanding of many of the key HR leverage points: Learning & Development, Organisational Design, Reward and Performance, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Resource and Talent Management, Information and Data
Will be able to coach and influence line managers
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make evaluative judgments of both factual and qualitative information drawn from a variety of sources.
A self- starter with a strong preference for action and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload and able to work on own initiative and to deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desired experience:
Previous experience of working in ED&I
Previous experience of delivering ED&I initiatives and programmes
Previous experience in change management/cultural change/organisational development
