AECOM has an exciting new opportunity for an HR Business Partner supporting the Environment and Energy businesses which cover over 1,000 employees – we are flexible upon location with a preference for Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds.
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to provide HR expertise and contribute as a business leader to the performance of the Environment and Energy businesses. The role will be accountable to define and implement a people plan for these businesses, together with the following responsibilities:
Applying change management expertise to ensure that organisational changes are planned and implemented in a way that applies best practice, complies with legislation, realises intended benefits and minimises unnecessary ER activity, costs and disruption to delivery performance
Support the business with activities relating to employee experience and engagement including action planning
Creating and implementing a resource plan that optimises expertise to confidently meet the requirements of our current and future workload.
Drive the full scope of the talent agenda including succession planning
Ensure effective and timely implementation of HR initiatives in line with business priorities
Qualifications
The role holder will have a proven track record in building effective relationships with senior leadership teams, as well as managing organisational and cultural change initiatives
Strong experience of employee relations/employment law within a rapidly revolving organisation
Proactive and solutions oriented with a strong coaching style
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Developed and implemented people plans which have influenced business performance in a range of situations/sectors/service types
Delivered change and transformation projects with successful outcomes
Delivered successful TUPE processes and ideally were involved in commercial bidding
Understands the key HR leverage points: Learning & Development, Organisational Design, Reward and Performance, Employee Engagement, Employee and Industrial relations, Resource and Talent Management, Information and Data
Understands best practice HR service delivery and operating model
Ability to apply legal knowledge in a practical setting
Demonstrable experience working within the context of complex, matrix organisations is required
The individual will have highly developed commercial skills, be emotionally intelligent and able to coach and influence senior colleagues
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make evaluative judgments of both factual and qualitative information drawn from a variety of sources
Degree in HR/CIPD equivalent.
