The role you’ll contribute: Patient Representative

The Patient Representative provides continuous and well-rounded coordinated support to surgical and non-surgical patients. Supports in educating the patient and/or family on pre-operative and post-operative care in addition to the treatments being provided in the practice. Serves as a liaison between the patient and practice support staff, also as a liaison between referring physicians and practice physicians. Screens and triages the patients’ course of treatment incoming calls and communicates pertinent information to the physician and/or physician extenders. Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth..

Principal Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Triage incoming calls (facilities, patients, physician offices, hospital, and pharmacies, and home health)
• Coordinates new patient appointment and disseminates information based on acuity level
• Assists in registration
• Manages and maintains medical records
• Assists in supporting as a physician liaison
• Provides back up to all front office positions; check in, check out, and medical records
• Educates and screens all new patients in preparation of their appointments to ensure their plan of care is appropriate
• Navigates the patient through their entire plan of care

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Education And Experience Required

• High school graduate or equivalent is required
• 3 years of medical office
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office products
• Customer service and service recovery
• Basic insurance knowledge

Education And Experience Preferred

• 5 years of medical office
