EVP, Healthcare Network, Contracting & Strategy

• This is an in-office position, located in Kansas City (open to relocate the right person)

Responsibilities:

• Set the strategic vision for contracting solutions and value-based payment strategies that drive growth and differentiation.
• Develop delivery models that reduce the cost of care while supporting improvements in health outcomes.
• Increase the percentage of Allowed Charges through value-based care contracts/alternate payment models.
• Negotiate with hospitals, physicians, ancillary providers, and vendors to create a strategic advantage.
• Work collaboratively with internal functions to impact the contract solution space and promote repeatable provider payment and network partnership models.
• Understand industry trends in physician compensation redesign, patient-centered medical homes, ACOs, bundled payments, and capitation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a health-related field required.
• Proven leadership skills with exemplary management experience directing day-to-day operations of a multidisciplinary department.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to both internal and external audiences.
• Direct negotiating experience with risk contracts demonstrating strong financial acumen and understanding of healthcare economics and competitors’ practices.
• Extensive knowledge of evolving reimbursement models and methodologies, value-based contracting, shared savings, and regulatory issues related to healthcare.
