Advanced Security Solutions Inc Hiring for Bookkeeper / Accounting Job at Des Plaines, IL Full Time

We are a Private Security Company located in the Des Plaines, IL, seeking to hire an Accountant / Bookkeeper to handle variety of day to day accounting functions. Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of QuickBooks software as well as excellent accounting, analytical, organizational skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for company’s Payroll, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable;

• Manage, adhere, and control the payroll schedule and other related issues;

• Compile, input, and process payroll information to produce accurate paychecks;

• Maintain payroll data files and coordinate with the Supervisor according to schedule;

• Maintain emails, follow up with employees/clients, verify and apply memos;

• Enter & Maintain payroll and financial transactions using QuickBooks/spreadsheets;

• Must be able to manage and process wage garnishments (child support, college loans, etc.) in payroll system and process payment to requesting party per law;

• Pay supplier, prepare checks, reconcile supplier accounts, run past due reports;

• Process invoices, remittances, purchases, payments to vendors, monitor receivables, monitor collections, etc. Promptly returning calls and solving issues that arise;

• Handle confidential information and maintain records and files per law and company policies and procedures;

• Assist in any other Administrative functions as needed;

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• English is REQUIRED

• Efficient with Numbers

• Good writing and verbal communication skills

• Excellent customer service/telephone skills and etiquette

• Positive attitude; team player

• Highly organized, detail oriented, able to work accurately and efficiently

• Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite is REQUIRED)

• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail are critical

• Ability to take initiative when the situation presents itself

• Ability to prioritize work and self-manage and execute tasks with limited assistance
