Job Description/Responsibilities for a Controls Software Engineer:

• This position will focus on Model-based Software Development in Matlab Simulink for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Powertrain Integration programs for North America and Europe.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional teams for software requirements gathering, data analysis and validation
• Bench Testing, In-vehicle testing and validation, commissioning and calibration of Low Voltage and High Voltage Powertrain and Fuel Cell accessories/components
• Participate and lead troubleshooting efforts for Controls software and/or electrical wiring harness issues and any other
• Support Validation, Service and Systems Engineering team during all the phases of the program lifecycle

Skill Set / Preferred Qualifications for Controls Software Engineer:

• 1-2 years of experience with Model based Controls Software development in Matlab Simulink
• Hands-on/demonstrated experience in implementing rule-based software requirements utilizing State Flows Charts in Matlab Simulink
• Prior hands-on experience of working in vehicles, and good understanding of interpreting electrical schematics for troubleshooting issues is a plus
• Good understanding of CAN, J1939 protocols and CAN tools like PCAN Explorer, Vector CANLyzer, CANape, CAN Database editors is a must
• Prior experience working with Woodward MotoHawk platform with tools such as MotoTune is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of electrification/hybrids/EVs is a plus
• Candidate must have a roll the sleeves/willing to get hands dirty attitude and should be willing to work in a High Voltage environment
• Co-curricular hands-on experience of working in Formula SAE, BAJA etc. will be a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
