Switching to software, our cloud-based drone management platform helps patrol beaches for emergency rescues and shark tracking. We are looking for a frontend software engineer to join our Cloud Robotics team. Our team is charged with building the Cloud Ground Control product. You will participate in all phases of the software development life-cycle and be responsible for the creation and delivery of elegant solutions from development to production in an R&D environment.

What you’ll do

    • Develop and maintain features with TypeScript and React in close collaboration with your engineering and product peers
    • Be an impactful contributor to the team to plan, design and build elegant solutions, taking into account opportunities for reusability
    • Write robust code, covered with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
    • Integrate with multiple backends using our internal REST and WebSocket APIs, as well as external partner APIs if need be
    • Improve and evolve our tech stack as needed
    • Participate in defining the team’s ways of working
    • Participate in code reviews.


Who you are

    • You are intensely curious and excited about diving deep into multiple areas
    • You want to become significantly more T-shaped and learn new disciplines and technologies
    • You have strong experience designing and developing web experiences using Javascript/Typescript (React), HTML, and CSS.You understand how web clients and web servers interact with one another and how to optimise that communication based on various use cases
    • You care about web technologies, exploring data, user experience, and design
    • You enjoy finding creative solutions to technical challenges and appreciate the balance between strong convictions and a pragmatic approach
    • You are autonomous, taking full ownership of your work and driving your personal developmentAn experience with Backend/Java, iOS, or Android development is a bonus


Experience

    • At least one year of professional experience working with current web technologies
    • React, Typescript, HTML, CSS
    • REST API manipulation
    • WebSocket API manipulation is desirable
    • Backend/Java, iOS, or Android is desirable
    • Comfortable working in a Linux environment is desirable
