ABOUT THE TEAM

We’re a rapidly growing team powering the graphic processing units (GPUs) of Cloud Service Providers such as Google Stadia, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. As cloud computing sets the tone in the new generation of technology, we work to enable cloud gaming, machine learning and powering other creative uses of GPUs in a non-traditional environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We develop kernel driver software for professional, server-grade GPUs, such as AMD Radeon Pro V520, allowing a single GPU to be shared by up to 16 Virtual Machines. A successful candidate will work with industry experts on the team to develop and debug our latest reference driver solutions on several virtualization platforms and operating systems.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The successful candidate will learn about graphics driver architecture, OS/driver/BIOS interactions and how we program our graphics chips to work with a variety of Hypervisors (VMWare, Xen, KVM, HyperV) and Operating Systems (Windows, Linux). As a valued member of our team, we will mentor, train and grow you into a code ninja of C/C++, OOP, and kernel mode debugging skills.

You will participate in SCRUM teams to give you an opportunity to learn and experience all aspects of software development process including coding, documentation, and performance analysis. Your problem-solving skills will be challenged by debugging and resolving issues. Our team will help you grow your career and your contributions will help to enhance AMD’s Cloud GPU offerings.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Strong C/C++ and object-oriented programming skills

Windows or Linux development experience

Taken course in Operating System design

Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Highly motivated, self-starter with good interpersonal skills
