Advanced Cyclotrons Systems Inc. (ACSI) is looking for a Warehouse Associate to assist us over the summer period. Our ideal Warehouse Associate can maintain inventory records, receive goods, conduct physical counts and maintain job kits for WIP. This role is well suited to a student looking for summer work. We are a relatively small team who work closely to get the job done on time, so an individual who is collaborative and a quick learner will be a great asset.

Advanced Cyclotron Systems, Inc. (ACSI) is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of cyclotron equipment, including PET and SPECT radioisotope production cyclotrons. We manufacture and supply complete systems for radioisotope and radiocompound production.

HOURS OF WORK

• Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 07:00 to 15:30

KEY DUTIES

• Count material, equipment or other merchandise in stock and post totals to inventory records such as sales orders, production records or purchase orders, to maintain an organized and efficient inventory system.
• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors in computations or count. Investigate errors where necessary and report reasons for discrepancies
• Maintain and kit WIP parts by job in an organized manner to facilitate easy access for assembly and/or shipment
• Communicate with purchasing to initiate purchase of non-inventory parts
• Compile information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies and compute inventory balance, price, cost and shortages
• Prepare lists of depleted items and recommend survey of defective or unusable items
• Participate in Inventory Control – Year End count.
• Expedite purchased and warranty repair products with Purchasing
• Perform receiving duties including unloading trucks and visually inspecting receipts against PO to ensure correct part and quantity is received and without damage. Verifies receipt of required documentation including but not limited to Quality Documentation, MSDS sets and expedites when missing. Identify parts and kit in appropriate job/inventory bin.
• Purchase routine hardware items for inventory and shop supplies and initiate replenishment by purchasing non-hardware inventory items when required.
• Performs transactions in MRP system to support above activities.
• Other duties as assigned by manager

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Experience with receiving
• Ability to quickly learn computer software
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Team player
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current priorities
• Physically demanding – standing, walking, lifting.
• Some work is conducted in a machine shop where safety equipment such as safety glasses and safety footwear must be worn.
• Casual warehouse type environment
