The Giving Tree is a non public school serving students diagnosed with autism. This position will provide specialized instruction to preschool students to meet the goals and objectives as developed in the students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). They will prepare standards-based lesson plans, materials, and classroom strategies as well as use effective classroom and/or behavior management techniques to achieve a safe and functional learning atmosphere for all students. This position has a 200 workday/school year calendar that is subject to change. Classroom size is capped at 12 students per session (am and pm sessions) with a high staff to student ratio of 1:1 and 2:1 with a full time Lead to assist with lesson plans, teaching materials, staff training and supervision.

Must meet qualifications to teach Special Education Preschool. Preliminary and Clear Credentials, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), or have the added authorization. May also accept intern credential.
