Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing internal controls over financial reporting, driving process improvement, supporting month end accounting close activities, and supporting emerging business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

. Direct and manage a team of accounting personnel

. Develop, enhance, and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX

. Oversight of aspects of the monthly close process, including financial analysis and preparation of various month-end deliverables

. Oversight of management reporting processes including cost accounting and line-of-business reporting

. Ensure accuracy of financial statements through strict account reconciliation procedures and financial statement reviews.

. Oversee financial and accounting system controls, including partnering with IT in system conversions and implementations

. Maintain SOX compliant environment and manage relationship with external auditors.

. Support new system development and integrations

. Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues for emerging business initiatives to ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies

. Identify and implement best practices and improvements in accounting and reporting processes and controls.

. Play a key role in cross-functional initiatives

Work Experience Required:

. 10+ years of experience in accounting or related fields with significant accounting / financial leadership experience in medium to large complex public companies. Background in public accounting preferred

. Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting, financial/reporting processes, management information systems, and internal control over financial reporting

. Management experience in supervising an accounting team

. Experience working in a divisional/operational as well as a corporate environment is highly desirable

. The candidate must demonstrate previous experience and success in IT system implementations

. The candidate must demonstrate previous experience and success in influencing and driving change through projects and programs across multiple organizations / functions

. The candidate must have strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills.

. Experience with Oracle general ledger and Essbase, or other similar platform.

Education:

. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.

. Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or CPA certification preferred.
