POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Business Advisor (HRBA) is a Human Resources subject matter expert interfacing with the HR Business Partners, Business leaders and Associates to provide generalist HR advisory support. The HRBA will deliver HR best practice advice and information, providing practical guidance through the internal HR processes across the HR lifecycle. This role also collaborates with our Centers of Excellence, including Organisational Development, Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides HR Admin support, including processing leavers, writing letters for contractual changes, approving offer letters and contracts, reference requests, etc
Raising cases on the AskHR platform for Shared Services to process
Supports Employee Relations from start to finish, including probations, disciplinaries, capability, security incidents, grievances and flexible working applications
Processes all maternity leave requests
Absence Management – Review of sickness reports, Occupational Health Referrals, Early Intervention referrals, management of stress risk assessment tools etc
Provides advice to line managers on HR queries that cannot be answered by AskHR or Shared Services
Provides advice and support to line managers on performance management procedures
Works with the HRBPs and Line Managers to devise and implement initiatives to improve staff retention, engagement, productivity and performance
Ensures human resources data is accurate and up to date by reviewing numerous HR reports and completing audits
Supports HR initiatives around employee engagement, retention, equality and diversity
Perform other HR duties as required
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO HAVE:
Previous experience of working in Human Resources, as a generalist
CIPD qualified preferred, or working towards
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent planning and prioritisation of own work, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify and explain HR jargon to non HR professionals
Can use own initiative to make relevant suggestions for improvements
Team player
Good system skills and a willingness to work off multiple platforms
Experience of working with shared services
A good knowledge and experience of HR systems with the capability of producing reports
