Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide leadership and coordination of AdMedia’s accounting practices, financial planning, strategic financing, and budget management functions and ensure AdMedia’s accounting procedures and reporting conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This is a full-time, remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Act as company accountant
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the organization
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
• Assist with the preparation of all financial reports
• Assist with the preparation of financial outlook analysis and financial forecasts
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
• Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
• Meet budget requirements by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
• Accomplish accounting requirements by designing and maintaining accounting processes, including journal entries and general ledger, billing, collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; supervising bank reconciliations and closing processes; supporting annual budget process; developing and maintaining forecasts and models; ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)
• Establish financial condition by preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and consolidated statements, and supporting schedules; comparing actual results to budget projections; developing summaries and interpretations
• Improve financial condition by analyzing financial reports and variances; revising accounting policies and practices and internal control procedure

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required (Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience a plus!)
• 2+ years experience in a small to mid level finance or accounting position
• Previous experience in a Media or AdTech environment preferred
• Strong risk management skill set
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting and profitability analysis
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
