The Role:

We are looking for a motivated Head of Group Accounting who will be leading and developing the core management accounts team, strengthening the financial control environment and assisting with the migration of any future acquisitions onto the group’s financial report and ERP systems.

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of a couple of days a week working in our headquarters in Harrogate. You may also be required on occasion to visit service centre/offices within the division including future acquisitions.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Produce the Monthly Consolidation and Board Pack.
• Develop the Division MI Packs so that they add additional value to the stakeholders.
• Oversee the weekly forecasting process for Revenue/EBITDA and weekly financial report to Sun Capital.
• Ensure that the cashflow forecast is accurately completed on a fortnightly basis, looking forward 13 weeks.
• Perform full balance sheet review on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving any issues with team.
• Mentoring and developing Finance Manager, Project Accountant and Accounts Assistant.
• Ensure that Bank Reporting and Covenant Calculations are prepared on time.
• Ensure the monthly group reporting procedures and deadlines are achieved to a high standard.
• Assist with integration of divisional companies onto the group’s financial report and ERP systems as required
• Develop and implement clear and documented accounting processes and controls
• Technical responsibility for acquisition accounting.
• Responsible for production of Statutory Accounts for all Group Entities.
• Key point of contact and day to day management of the audit as well as accounting & tax compliance.
• Ensure that payments are compliant with CIS and DRC regulations
• Support in Ad hoc financial projects as and when required

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) level
• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Positive can-do attitude
• Experience operating within an Industrial Services or multi-site environment advantageous but not essential
• Microsoft Office applications experience, with excellent knowledge of Excel. VBA knowledge advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of Focalpoint and/or Access Dimensions would be a distinct advantage
• Excellent administration and office environment skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use initiative is essential and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Clean UK driving licence
• Proactive in finding solutions to problems
