Job Title: Project Assistant

Duration: Ajilon Consultant (See below **)

Location: Hybrid / Bristol (2 days on-site per week)

Salary: Circa £42,000 per annum – plus extensive benefits (as below)

About:

As a Project Assistant, you will be part of our clients Commercial Programmes Platform, within Commercial Banking Delivery. Their mission is to unlock value through the delivery of time-bound programme and project-based change for the benefit of Business Commercial Banking & Corporate Institutional Banking Business Units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting the Programme Manager/Teams and business units to ensure delivery to agreed business plans is controlled within cost, quality, and timescale objectives.
• Ensure that the fundamentals of Programme & Project Management excellence are achieved, this includes analysis, governance, planning, managing finances, change control and delivering value/benefits
• Support the initiation, mobilisation and management of Programme controls and key enabling activities in conjunction with relevant teams and individuals
• Proactively support the team with end-to-end lifecycle stage gate documentation and governance requirements
• Co-ordinate the preparation of information for the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process.
• Maintain resource plans, develop forecasts, support decisions
• Collation of packs for steering and governance meetings, capturing and interpreting relevant minutes/actions against plan objectives
• Co-ordinate a shared mailbox, organisation of programme meetings ensuring the right stakeholders are present
• Providing support for projects where needed that can include carrying out investigations and reviews

Key Capabilities:

• Highly organised, structured, and methodical in approach, with the ability to work with ambiguity, creating a sense of structure & discipline where needed
• Experience of providing high quality proactive project support service from idea to implementation delivering to agreed scope, cost, quality, and timescale.
• Able to interpret and translate activities into milestones & plans, and identify risks & mitigation plans to help protect deliveries against plan.
• Ability to use a number of different systems – some internal to the company and other applications
• Understanding of change lifecycles, project standards, supporting governance and documentation requirements including timelines. Experience working within different methodologies, including agile and waterfall approaches
• Ability to learn and adapt to new project delivery practices and approaches
• Being proactive and communicating with peers and stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborate with others to support the provision of quality and timely information and analysis to inform business decisions and optimise business results – with both key internal & external dependencies
