ACV Enviro is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist in Bridgeport, CT to support our New England region. This is a 3 to 6 month contract position with the opportunity to evolve into a full time position. Ideal candidate will have an extensive recruiting background in general labor/ CDL positions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· 90% Recruiting 10% other HR Duties. Travel is required.
Responsible for onboarding new employees in the Region and providing complete information to HR Team.
· Reviews company policies as related to employment, benefits and payroll with all new employees.
· Collaborates with Benefits Specialist to facilitate the benefit enrollment process for new employees in the Region.
· Coordinates Open Enrollment information sessions in a designated Region ensuring employees understand benefit changes, enrollment requirements, and deadlines.
· Works with the Labor Relations Specialist to provide Managers with HR support in all disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance reviews.
· Develops recruiting and staffing strategies to support Regional Managers.
· Attends job fairs as well as college and community events for recruiting opportunities.
· Manages Applicant Tracking System (ATS) by updating job postings and candidates’ details.
· Sources and pre-screens candidates before coordinating interviews with the hiring managers.
· Tracks and identifies prospective candidates to meet short, medium, and long-term goals.
· Supports the training and development programs (ACV University) by ensuring employees in the Region are fulfilling requirements.
· Identifies opportunities that will support the Internship Program.
· Track all training and development efforts in the Region to ensure compliance.
· Partners with Managers to identify talent within the organization and ensure progression and succession plans are being followed appropriately.
· Provides internal customer support to employees by acting as the HR point of contact in a designated region. Drives and tracks HR programs such as employee referrals and bonus incentives.
· Works on special projects as necessary.
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree, business preferred.
· 1-3 years’ experience in an HR-related role.
· Must be extremely organized and possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
· Proficient with Microsoft programs.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
