An International Industrial Equipment Distributor in Knoxville, TN area is in need of a Machinery Sales Account Manager to join their team. A successful candidate is motivated and eager to start a Sales Account Manager career in the manufacturing field. This ideal candidate will find, contact, and follow-up with prospective clients; once discovering clients, then discuss our product’s technological capabilities and business value with the client. The ideal candidate should be able to clearly articulate highly technical concepts to all prospective clients. This is a full-time Exempt position with a great benefit package including 401K.
Responsibilities – Sales Account Manager
· Manage current and cultivate new customers in assigned territory in US
· Provide quotations containing terms and conditions to customers
· Negotiate cost, timeline, technical specification etc., and provide consultation as needed
· Utilize various communication methods (Phone, Email, Onsite visitation)
· Present the sales strategy plan to leadership team
· Prepare presentation materials for each sales meeting with potential and current clients
· Clearly articulate technical capabilities and give technical demonstrations
· Provide general technical support to clients
· Resolve customers’ complaints
· Create s by using MS Excel and the company’s system and to Direct Managers periodically
· Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications – Sales Account Manager
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, and/or related field
· 1 year of B2B Sales – Account Management / Business Development in the manufacturing field will be plus
· Excellent Communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and Presentation Skills
· Understanding of sales performance metrics
· 25% Travel Required
· Driver’s License with Clear Records
· Must be comfortable with out-of-state travelling
· Ability to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
· Must be able to work responsibly, effectively, and independently when needed
· Must be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment
· This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
