Actalent Hiring for Project Manager at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Candidates will manage and report on project costs, change order requests and on-time delivery. They will be managing or coordinating projects from replacement components integral to the client’s products through to the capital projects themselves. Typical capital project length ranges from 6 to 18 months. This role will require the candidate to utilize project management skills to establish project schedules. They will be working closely with the project engineers to coordinate work between the engineering, purchasing, production and shipping departments. They will also liaise with the sales and customer services departments.

The main responsibilities for this role will require candidates to project scope is clearly defined and understood by all groups. Candidates will be required to create the scheduling for deliverables, hold regular meetings to ensure milestones are being met.

MUST HAVES:
Engineering degree or diploma

PMP Designation

5 + years project management in a manufacturing environment

2 + years exposure to management of R&D projects

Ability to manage more than 1 project at a time

Familiarity with Inventor/Autocad – this role will require candidates to be able to read engineering drawings

Experience overseeing junior PM’s
