Actalent Hiring for Patient Care Coordinator at Fountain Valley, CA Full Time

• Description:* A Patient Care Coordinator position is either a Medical Assistant or a Pharmacy Tech, who works independently from Protocols to track quality metrics and protocol refill requests, data mining in the EMR for crucial clinical information. This is a front office position. Candidates need to be extremely proficient on the computer. Must have experience processing 200+ prescriptions per day as this is the main job duty. Must have recent experience in a Medical Office or a pharmacy, and current up to date knowledge of medications. Strong phone/speaking communication skills — must to be able to communicate with patients, pharmacies, staff and physicians. -Job duties to include: This position is primarily front office for the Medical Center -Data mining for prescriptions refill requests. They issue 300-400 prescriptions per day -Working with patients, providers, pharmacies, laboratories for patient orders
• Working in a very professional/traditional medical office setting
• Will need to maintain and display professionalism and strong customer service throughout the day
• Flexibility around job duties and functions will be required
• Strong communication skills to have ability to work with geriatric patient community
• Strong technology and video conferencing skills.
• Will be required to help facilitate and guide patients for tele health appointments -Working on the EMR System E Clinical works

• Additional Skills & Qualifications:* 1+ years recent Medical Assistant experience OR 1+ years of Pharmacy Tech experience MUST have strong front office experience Internal Medicine experience preferred MUST HAVE good communication (spoken English!) — MA’s often speak with geriatric patients on the phone to troubleshoot their patient portal. Must be able to speak clearly and professionally. Medical Assistant Certificate REQUIRED BLS required and/or CPR certified -Medical Terminology

• Strong computer skills
• Strong phone etiquette -Strong communication with patients, providers, pharmacies, labs -Detail oriented
• Ability to fill prescription requests
